Yukari has over 10 years of experience as a sales and relationship manager
in the financial industry. She previously worked for large North American financial institutions
including JP Morgan Securities and Bank of Montreal, and has dealt with products across the
asset class. She has demonstrated a proven ability to develop long
lasting client relationships and loyalty, and is in charge of investor relations here at Amber.
What drew you to want to work with Amber International Holdings?
My background is in finance, so I liked the idea of utilizing my experience and at the same time,
working with large-scale hospitality and real estate investments.
What’s your favorite part of working in the travel industry?
Learning about the various locations we research and their travel industry.
Tell us about your education and professional background.
I studied at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (always wanted to learn about the world outside of Japan).
My professional background is in banking and finance.
Where is your favorite place in the world and why?
While I have been living outside of Japan for more than 10 years, my favorite place is still Japan, where my roots are.
Because I am currently outside of Japan, I appreciate the unique culture they have, the food and all the things that I grew up with.
What are you most proud of – both in and outside of work?
After living and working in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, I think I understand many different kinds of culture (working culture as well as living) a lot better and know how to work/communicate well with people.

Baking healthy cakes and snacks.
Amber is focused on sustainable travel. What are some of your favorite ways
to live sustainably?
Being minimalist (don’t buy unnecessary things!)
How do you like to relax at the end of a long day?
Feet up against the wall and reading books
What travel destinations are on your bucket list?
Train trips and cycling in Europe (My first choice is Italy).
What’s something not many people know about you?
I was into long distance race and triathlon at one point in my life and did Ironman in Mexico.
