Krystelle Bolivar has a decade of combined experience in the areas of financialadvisory, corporate finance, accounting and auditing. She has previously worked for Sunlife Canada, Citibank and Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting and auditing firms worldwide. Before joining our team, she also held the role of Head of Treasury and Corporate Planning for DoubleDragon Properties Corp., a Philippines-based developer.
What drew you to want to work with Amber International Holdings?
Amber allows me the flexibility I need for my current lifestyle. Also, the resorts the company is building are dreamy.
What’s your favorite part of working in the travel industry?
Opportunity to combine work and play.
Tell us about your education and professional background.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of the Philippines. I also completed the Chartered Financial (CFA) program of the CFA Institute and was awarded the CFA Charter, an international designation for investment professionals. I am currently completing my thesis for my Master’s degree in ASEAN Studies.
Where is your favorite place in the world and why?
Georgia, because of its nature and wine culture. Italy, because of the diversity in sights. I love Italian coasts, Italian cities, small Italian towns, Italian mountains… and how Italy is all about food!
What are you most proud of – both in and outside of work?
Climbing mountains and volcanoes in different parts of the world – Georgia, India, Indonesia, South Korea and soon New Zealand. I’ve never been the fit and sporty type and conquering these mountains is a big challenge for me.
Tell us about your current hobby.
I love telling stories through pictures. I am currently taking an online photojournalism course to learn more about this hobby. I also enjoy cooking and replicating the dishes I tasted around the world.
Amber is focused on sustainable travel. What are some of your favorite
ways to live sustainably?
I try to use as little disposable plastic as I can, and I’ve been cutting on meat consumption recently
How do you like to relax at the end of a long day?
A nice massage or a good movie will do.
What travel destinations are on your bucket list?
Russia, Cuba, Mexico, South Africa, and Peru
What’s something not many people know about you?
I know 150 Dutch words.
